Clearly, the less you smoke the less chance you have. But any smoking puts you at risk. For the non-smokers, try to stay away from people who DO smoke. Second hand smoke is still dangerous to your heart.


Manage your weight. Between 60-70% of the American population is overweight or obese. This obesity epidemic is definitely putting a strain on the hearts of many, many lives. When a person has excess body fat, all of their systems begin to work slower and less efficient, especially the circulatory system.
